Jeff Gunderman, Senior Pastor, is a graduate of Grand Rapids Baptist College (B.A. 1979) and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary (M.Div. 1984). After serving 9 years as pastor of First Baptist Church in Ovid, Michigan, he was called to Berlin in January 1996. He and his wife, Sue, have four married children and five grandchildren. In addition to his responsibilities at Berlin, Pastor Gunderman serves as chaplain for the Wright Tallmadge Fire Department and on the Executive Board of Continental Baptist Missions.

A note from Pastor Gunderman:

Ephesians 4:11-12 (NASB) says And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;”

My goal as a pastor is to lead people to Christ and equip them to live for Christ. I believe that the local church is God’s plan to accomplish this, and I’m privileged to be called to work among His people here in Marne
